A Chandler family of  four has been arrested for child neglect.

Assistant District Attorney for Lincoln County Adam Panter reported authorities found a 15 year old boy living in a barn with goats, rabbits and chickens.

The boy, who weighed 80 pounds, had been eating sticks, leaves and grass.

Panter said the boy, who has been hospitalized, could have died without medical attention.

The boy’s name has not been released.

The boys’s father, stepmother and two older brothers have been arrested, but at this time formal charges have not been filed.

DHS declined to comment.
