Students at Garfield Elementary portrayed famous Oklahoma people at their recent Penny Arcade. Third graders researched a famous Oklahoman and had to write a summary about them. They dressed as their famous person and were set up in the gym in costumes ready to read their summaries/biographies of their historical person they wrote about. Students and staff all had pennies and had to go around the gym; if they put a penny in a third grader’s cup, the student had to read their summary about their famous person.
