A blowout caused an injury collision late Wednesday evening west of Tonkawa in Kay County.

Daniel Plama, of Miami Florida, who was not injured, had a blowout on his Volvo truck causing him to enter the center median, cross the cable barrier and strike a Nissan Pathfinder and a Honda CRV.  The pathfinder was driven by Deborah Kizer of Oklahoma City.  She was not injured.  The parent of a 9 month old child in the vehicle refused treatment for the child who suffered a head injury.  It was later reported the child was treated at an unknown hospital.

The CRV was driven by Lucinda Gail Becker of Mound Ridge, Kansas.  She was transported to Blackwell Hospital and then to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in stable condition with arm injuries.
