Things haven’t been going well in the Perry school district.
The school board there has suspended Superintendent Scott Chenoweth. Attorneys and school district officials aren’t saying anything publicly about the suspension, but it comes about three weeks after a teacher’s aide was arrested and accused of inappropriately touching seven children at the Perry Upper Elementary School.
And, less than a full day ago, Kenda Miller, the principal of Perry Upper Elementary School, was arrested after being accused of not reporting child abuse. Official court documents indicate Miller did not report the alleged abuse when the complaints concerning the teacher’s aide were originally initiated.
