A passenger in a vehicle involved in a multi car wreck on the last day of 2017 has died from injuries suffered in the collision.  Due to icy conditions on I 35 in Love County, a 2004 Toyota,  driven by Victor Zarat-Vincente of Dallas left the road to the left, ran into the center median cable barrier and attempted to re-enter the roadway.  At that time the Toyota was struck by a 2012 Ford driven by Denver White of Davis.  The Toyota was then struck by another vehicle from the rear.  Patricia Amaya of Dallas was pinned for approximately 30 minutes before being freed.  She was taken to the Marietta hospital and then transferred to Plano, Texas and admitted in serious condition with head and trunk injuries.  She died Tuesday from the injuries sustained in the accident.  One other passenger in the 2004 Toyota, an 11 year old boy, was sent to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in Stable condition with leg injuries.

The driver of the 2004 Toyota was treated and released at the scene and none of the other drivers or passengers were injured.
