A small plane has crashed in a field near U Street and Hubbard Road in Ponca City. KFOR is reporting that three adults and two children were killed in the crash. The plane was leaving Ponca City on a flight to Independence, Kansas, after coming to town for the monthly Fly-In Breakfast at the Ponca City Airport. NewsOK.com says that a “single engine Extra EA 400 crashed shortly after taking off,” crashing into a soybean field on the north side of town
Sheriff Steve Kelley is quoted on KOCO.com as saying “there are no survivors at this point.”
