482 new positive COVID-19 cases for Oklahoma on Wednesday, Second virus-related death reported for Garfield County

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting one virus-related death and 482 new positive COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, June 24. There are now a total of 11,510 COVID-19 cases with 3,366 active at this time.

Locally, Payne County has 16 new cases, four for Washington county, Kay, Garfield and Logan counties each have two new cases, and one new case for Noble County.

Among the local counties, Garfield County reported its second Coronavirus-related death. It was a female from Enid in the 36 to 49 age group. Oklahoma’s death toll is now at 372.

For new COVID-19 cases in local communities, Stillwater has 14, Bartlesville, Perkins and Ponca City each with two and Hominy, Fairfax and Perry each have one.

OSDH reports 256 more Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19 as the state’s recovery total is now at 8,144. New data also shows that there have been 286,768 negative specimens. Officials say that there have been 1,319 total hospitalizations, and 268 people are currently hospitalized.
