This weekend, along with the 101 Wild West Rodeo, the qualifying  rounds for the 37th Annual Rocky Mountain All Terrain Vehicle/Motor Cycle AMA Amateur National Motorcross Championship takes place.

The event will be staged at Jack Blevins Motocross Park in Ponca City.  Washington State and Loretta Lynns Ranch in Tennessee were where thousands of racers tried to qualify.

The nationals only allow the top 42 riders in each class to the event.  There are eight separate regions with Ponca City being the South Central Youth Regional.

Bill Stuever of the Ponca City AMBUCS said, ” History will be made this week with Ponca hosting our first ever AMA Regional Qualifier.”

A three day event pass is $35 with gates opening at 6:30AM and the qualifying kicking off at 8AM.
