A Cedar Vale, K.s man is facing two murder charges after being involved in a a car wreck last year east of Winfield, Ks that claimed the lives of two women.
23-year-old Timothy Call was charged with two counts of murder in the second degree, unintentional but reckless, on June 24 in connection with the October 10, 2018 crash that killed 64-year-old Geraldine Patrick of Shell Knob, Mo., and 58-year-old Patricia Blake of Dallas, Ga.
Call was reportedly driving a 1996 Chevrolet pickup westbound on US 160 near 141st Street east of Winfield when he crossed centerline and hit a 2004 Ford pickup driven by Patrick with Blake as a passenger.
Patrick later died at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, and Blake was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both charges are level 2 person felonies, punishable by 109 to 493 months (roughly 9 to 41 years) in prison, a fine of $300,000 and 3 years of post release supervision for each charge.
Call has not been arrested, but was served a summons to appear in court for his first appearance at 9 a.m. on July 29 at Cowley County District Court in Winfield. Call will remain out of jail and will not have to post bond as long as he shows up for his court dates.
