Over 700 new COVID-19 cases reported Sunday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 706 new COVID-19 cases Sunday. Oklahoma’s seen 424,508 COVID-19 cases overall as 12,768 cases are active.

OSDH documented 49 new virus-related deaths Sunday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 4,428.

Kay County has seen 5,080 COVID-19 cases, 79 deaths and 4,850 recoveries. There are currently 151 active cases in the county. Data for local communities is posted below:


Ponca City – 3,719 cases/45 deaths/3,570 recoveries

Blackwell – 643 cases/18 deaths/594 recoveries

Newkirk – 427 cases/3 death/411 recoveries

Tonkawa – 354 cases/14 deaths/332 recoveries

Kaw City – 62 cases/1 death/61 recoveries

Braman – 22 cases/1 death/20 recoveries



Payne County – 8,357 cases/47 deaths/8,114 recoveries

Garfield County – 7,586 cases/78 deaths/7,290 recoveries

Kay County – 5,080 cases/79 deaths/4,850 recoveries

Washington County – 4,770 cases/89 deaths/4,528 recoveries

Osage County – 4,485 cases/49 deaths/4,315 recoveries

Logan County – 3,973 cases/28 deaths/3,814 recoveries

Pawnee County – 1,701 cases/32 deaths/1,619 recoveries

Noble County – 1,347 cases/12 deaths/1,283 recoveries

Grant County – 535 cases/7 deaths/520 recoveries


OSDH is reporting 818 new recoveries for Sunday. Oklahoma’s recovery total is now at 407,312. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

There have been 839,401 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 293,397 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 546,004. There have also been 568,735 prime doses allocated and 400,925 boost doses allocated.
