PCPS Cheerleaders Earn Top Honors at Summer Cheer Camp

PONCA CITY – The Ponca City Public School Cheerleading Team is super excited for the 2019-2020 school year and has implemented a big change in their program to increase student participation. Coach Darla Turney explains, “At our tryouts last spring, students going into the 7th grade were invited to try out for cheerleading for the first time. Incoming freshmen were also given the option of trying out for the Junior High Cheer Team or the High School Varsity Squad. The Junior High Cheer Team consists of students in grades 7, 8, and 9. The High School Varsity squad consists of students in grades 9-12. We look forward to supporting #teampcps!”
