PCPS Hires New Softball Coach

Jessica Campbell has been hired as the new head softball coach for Ponca City Public Schools. Coach Campbell attended Frontier and later graduated from Enid High School. After high school graduation, she played at Northern Oklahoma College, York College and Rogers State University where she graduated with her degree in Sports Management. Coach Campbell previously coached softball at St. Cloud High School in Florida. At St. Cloud, she helped guide the team to a district championship and regional runner-up finish.
In high school, Coach Campbell received numerous accolades in multiple sports including softball, basketball, soccer, and golf. Accolades in softball include, four-time summer fast-pitch softball State champion, Softball All-Tournament Team, All-State nominee, All Conference Shortstop, Second team Conference middle infield, and NFCA softball award. Other accolades include two-time state qualifier in golf, state semi-finals in basketball and National Honor Society.
At Northern Oklahoma College, Coach Campbell started for the softball team and served as team captain. She later went on to play at York College in Nebraska and then transferred to finish her playing career at Rogers State University.
Coach Campbell has been a teacher and coach for PCPS the last two years, coaching volleyball and basketball.
“I am very excited for this opportunity to share my knowledge and experience in softball. I look forward to growing the program and working with our athletes,” said Campbell.
“Coach Campbell brings a great deal of softball experience to our program. Our student-athletes will be in great hands under her leadership,” said Athletic Director Jason Leavitt.
Coach Campbell is married to Cody Campbell and they have one daughter, Oakley.
