For the first time in 15 years, the Ponca City Public School Symphonic Band has earned a Superior (I) rating on stage at the Oklahoma State Secondary Activities Association (OSSAA) State Concert Band Contest held at Jenks High School. The group also earned an Excellent (II) rating in sight reading.

“This is a tremendous achievement for our program and our students,” said Po-Hi Band Director David Christy. “In particular, Mr. Orr, Mr. Crocker and Ms. Cochran were vital in the success of our performance. Together, those are the best ratings the symphonic band has achieved in many years.”
