In an effort to continue promoting school spirit and provide students a glimpse of extra-curricular activities, Ponca City Public Schools will be hosting Wildcat Athletic Site Spirit Nights again this year.

The different between this year and last year is that it will begin with the fall sporting season and the Site Nights will spread a little further apart. Sports featured will be: Football, Softball and Volleyball. Cross Country couldn’t be included because of seating logistics; however, Coach Degan and some of the Cross Country athletes will be going to schools to talk to students about the sport.

The schools selected for this season were chosen randomly. Students and one adult will be admitted to the event free of charge on their Site’s Spirit Night. Arrangements will be made for the coaches, the Athletic Director, and other school officials to visit sites to promote these events.

The Fall Season schedule is provided down below. Winter schedule will be announced later:

Friday, September 14: Roosevelt Night, High School Football vs. Collinsville at Sullins Stadium, 7 p.m.

Monday, September 24: Woodlands Night, High School Softball vs. Putnam City North, 5 and 7 p.m., at Softball Field (North of WMS/Lincoln Elementary)

Thursday, October 4: Garfield Night, High School Volleyball vs. Sand Springs at Old Boys Gym at Po-Hi, 4/5/6 p.m.

Friday, October 12: East Middle School Night, High School Football vs. Sand Springs at Sullins Stadium, 7 p.m.
