School buildings in Oklahoma closed for remainder of year, new learning idea implemented

The Oklahoma State Board of Education voted 7-0 Wednesday to keep school buildings closed and to implement distance learning plans for the remainder of school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Learning will still continue as they are looking into distance learning online beginning April 6. For the graduating class of 2020, each district will adopt a plan that establishes the assessment or assessments those students are required to take in order to graduate.
