A special meeting of the Ponca City Board of Education has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Administration Center, 613 E. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK. The primary purpose of the meeting is the sale of $1,905,000 Building Bonds; however, other time-sensitive items may appear on the agenda if deemed necessary. A copy of the agenda will be sent closer to the date of the special board meeting.
The next regular meeting of the Board will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 6:00 PM. The deadline to submit contracts/agreements for approval is February 27, 2019. This will allow adequate time for our school attorney and the Board Finance Committee to review before placing on the agenda for board approval. Please forward these items to Debora Gooch at email@example.com. Failure to meet this deadline could delay approval of your contract/agreement until the April board meeting. Keep in mind, per Board policy 5.5-5.0, “No employee, except the Superintendent, has the authority to sign any contract or agreement on behalf of the district.”
If you have a board approved contract or agreement that is revoked or cancelled, the board must take action on that as well. You may have noticed the February Consent Agenda listed two such contracts. Please communicate this information to Debora so it can be listed on the agenda for termination.
