Matt Carpenter fouled off the first pitch, then muscled up. The curveball he hooked cleared the right-field wall, a walk-off, two-run home run that gave the Cardinals a 5-3 extra-inning win over the Milwaukee Brewers in the second game in this series. Carpenter’s second home run of the season salvaged a night in which the Cardinals went scoreless through the first five innings and stranded 13 base runners, but fought back to survive with rallies in the ninth and 10th.

Adam Wainwright returns to the mound today  when this series in Milwaukee concludes with a 11:20 matinee on your home for Cardinal Baseball, WBBZ AM 1230.

The Thunder could land anywhere between No. 4 and No. 8 in the West, depending on a variety of results.

This much is clear: Oklahoma City needs to beat Memphis tonight with tip off at 7PM on your home for Thunder Basketball WBBZ.

If the Thunder completes a regular-season sweep of the Grizzlies in the season finale at Chesapeake Energy Arena, it’ll avoid top-seeded Houston and No. 2 seed Golden State in the first round of the playoffs.

A win against the Grizzlies guarantees OKC at least the No. 6 seed.

Don’t miss any of the Thunder action tonight on WBBZ.
