OSDH reports 970 new COVID-19 cases

The Oklahoma State Department of Health documented 970 new COVID-19 cases Friday. Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 658,600 COVID-19 cases as 8,801 cases are active. The new cases 7-day average is 838 and the State’s death toll is at 11,772.

 

Overall, Kay County has seen 7,706 COVID-19 cases throughout the pandemic. In the last 30 days, the county’s seen 441 new COVID-19 cases.

 

According to hospital data from OSDH, which you can see by clicking here, hospitals in the Region 2 area, which includes Ponca City, are ranging from 35.6% capacity to 48% capacity.

 

If you’re needing to get tested for COVID-19, the Kay County Health Department has COVID-19 testing available by appointment only at the Ponca City clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Make an appointment by calling 580-762-1641. COVID-19 testing is NOT available at the Blackwell clinic.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine statewide, a total of 2,014,904 Oklahomans are fully vaccinated.
