Former Ohio State assistant Lou Rosselli has been named the head wrestling coach at Oklahoma.
Rosselli was promoted from Ohio State assistant coach to associate head coach following the 2008-09 season after helping lead the Buckeyes to NCAA runner-up finishes in 2008 and 2009. He also helped the program claim its first national championship in 2015.
Rosselli was the 2014 USA Wrestling Freestyle coach of the year, and has been a volunteer coach for the U.S. Olympic Freestyle Team.
Rosselli replaces Mark Cody, who resigned from OU in early August after leading the Sooners to a 55-34 record in five seasons.
