BLACKWELL – A two-vehicle accident occurred at the US-177/Hubbard Road intersection 2 miles south of Blackwell at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday evening.

According to Jordan Green at the Blackwell Journal Tribune and Trooper Demming of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a pickup was stopped at the 4-way stop sign when it was rear-ended by an approaching minivan. Trooper Demming said the cause of the accident was “inattention”. It was also reported by Trooper Demming that one adult was sent by ambulance to Blackwell Regional Hospital and admitted in stable condition. No other serious injuries were reported. The name of the victims in the accident is unknown at this time.

The Blackwell Fire Department, Blackwell Police Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the accident.
